Some more detail would be appreciated and helpful. What sort of music are you looking for, visual style? or are you looking for someone to DJ with commercial material from DVD?... venue size of event detail and an idea of your budget would be good.

Thanks for adding the info G. Knew it was Uppingham;) I'd urge any VJ who is capable of doing an AV set to add his or her interest here. A great theatre in which to perform and is similar to the main room of MoS London when up and running. Superb sound system and visual equipment will be supplied. The school will support and assist you well. Great bunch of kids who know their music although it's a varied room to try and please. I've done 3 events down at Uppingham and enjoyed each one. Any of you wanting a more detailed brief can always PM me for some detail. Shame to see the drop in budget however, but this financial climate is affecting us all. All the best for the event.

just incase someone is not interested in doing it becuase the pays to low there is always room for a higher cost if needs be.

That's nice to know G. Again to stress to those that may not have read some of my past gig reports. My last visit was, due to budget performed on 4 HD Plasma screens previous to this I had 3 Projectors one HD high powered and a Diventix II upscaler, projected behind the bands in superwide screen. Good sound and visual tech team to assist with all the technical aspects, it really is a plug and play event. It is an excellent opportunity for a VJ branching out into AV or one who wishes to try out their new wide material. You'll have a great time and have the opportunity of perhaps learning yourselves. G I'd just make it easier for people to reply to your posts by adding the ability to perhaps Pm and email you.

Just to say that the event requires a video feed for 4 50" Plasmas, 2 either side of the stage. The event features live Bands and a DJ competition, and the visuals should compliment this. The video feed can be supplied on Composite or VGA outputs

Graphically do your thing but my advice would be to anybody doing the gig would be to keep it pretty commercial, stray too far and you'll be playing to the sound engineers:) Here's an example of the typical stuff I did particularly during the first visit when time was on my side. The track about "weed" above I'd say was inappropriate for the school;)
