having chance to raise again some flame about non-paid jobs, i'm here to announce that kazantip 2010 is coming and we're ready to consider your performance there.
the opening show this year is 6.08, closing at 21.08 with after-days until 28.08 at mars area (featuring more limited screens). general info about kazantip can be found on the forums easily. i'm glad to answer any more specific questions as well.
as usually, main conditions and requirements:
- strong and catchy content and/or top-level gfx (as devon miles perfectly said - stuff that is extreme in one or the other way - think politic, sexually explicit or burlesque, or genuinely outstanding artistic),
- no fees (only accomodation and travel expenses covered),
- preferred length of staying is one week (more is better),
- strong ability to survive and behave reasonably in looong 24/7 openair party
specially respected feature is strong videomapping skills. there will be some conventional rectangular screen[s] as well, but most of the projections are done over nets covering big layher constructions like on the video below. we're able to map anything anywhere ourselves [we do this for living], so we're looking not for simple surface videotexturing, but for inventive solutions like state-of-art 3D illusions or complex mesh automation or whatever making us say wow (and it's not an easy thing).
if you're more into content production, any intermediate collaboration in this area (projecting your content with our mapping techniques or vice versa) is possible as well.
please note that we have very limited seats this year, so don't feel sorry if we cannot invite you now; i keep the logs so maybe next time you'll get in.
