Call out for participation - AVIT Brighton 2003

Attention all VJs

The time has finally come for AVIT?s organisation committee to invite all VJs out there to voice out their interest for participating at the next AVIT, happening in Brighton, 23rd-26th October 2003.

As most of you know, AVIT started out just one year ago as the first physical manifestation of the online VJ community. It is now recognised as one of the most important international gatherings for VJ's of all styles, nationalities, and levels of experience.

Opportunities for performing will be offered to VJs at all the levels of experience. So whether you have started VJing last week or last decade, you may be eligible to participate in this event.

no wories mate the deadline for submisions is tomorow but we fully understand that tapes/cds etc might take alittle more time to get to us so dont panic but dont forget to send it to us asap

aww, I haven't sent a demo, but I'm not all that good anyway. =] I'll be there mostly on vacation, and I'm not sure what days I'll be able to be at AVIT, but I'll have my gear there, so if there's an open V-4 somewhere, I'd love to lay down a set.

I just sent a link to the video online (quicktime and wmv) in streaming and download versions. Is that ok or do you also need a copy on cd ?

idealy yes because the organisers aint all in the same city and at some point we are going to have to sit down together and work through the submishions so if we aint got something to look at we wont know ware to place peeps within the program

eye live in brighton and am pretty keen to be involved... if my demoos suck i'm still comming down to watch ;)

just filling in the form and was wondering about the 'AV Performance
Feature set where you perform to music YOU provide' bit... does that mean we can bring our Dj and do a set or it should be a pre-recorded or live a/v set and no Dj?

I haven't seen our name on the AVIT UK 03 Update, so i hope it is not because you didn't get any material.
Anyway, VJ Anyone should have seen our performance at ContactEurope and i think our style ( wich is quite unique ) would be a good complementation for AVIT...

so what i'm about to say is that we'd really love to be there !

I've submited my entry-form a while ago...
I live in Brighton and have subsequently made contact with a club/pub in the city centre where myself and some local artists might be putting on some shows during the festival, just wondering how to aproach things so that this happening is included under the avit umbrela?

It's a great space which could be used for discussions, meeting up etc...
