Hi,

I'm having a party soon and have just installed Winamp so I can do some sound responsive visuals on a projector.

The problem I'm having is that the oscilliscope remains almost completely flat when Winamp is taking music from either Line In or the CD player - so the visuals aren't responding to the music.

I've also installed DSP Spectrum Analyzer plug-in and all it says on the spectrum graph... "Out of Sync"

I only seem to get an active response when I'm playing a .WAV file.

Can anyone suggest what the problem could be?

Many thanks!

On my laptop I run sndvol32, go to properties, select recording, and make sure the one i want is selected an unmuted. When using the line in plugin I use line://stime=0&numbuffers=1

1. get specific winamp line-in plugin (there is one by default but the new one is better)

2. select the line-in plugin in the PLUGINS-> input part of the preferences

3. press "Ctrl + L" and the input window come up, put the settings for line in in there....
