Woohoo,
I have been waiting on a email for a while now and it finally arrived, along with good news.
A local music studio in my area do short DJ/Music courses and I have been to see them a few times for meeting discussing the 'art' of live visuals. They have listened to me and believe it to be a interesting, creative and will compliment the courses.
So, at the end of the March I am doing mini sessions. Its not much but its a start. I felt the need to tell you all anyway :D

Cool news, feel free to share your course outlines or any class stuff. Could be useful for other people around the world.

I think I may know one of the lads involved or who was involved down there. Lost touch with him ages ago though. Unfortunately his mother passed away and he took an extended break away from it all.

Yea you probably do. A guy called alex runs all the courses but it's a guy called steve who owns it. I'm sure that's his name anyway.

Its brilliant that stuff like this is starting to happen and become a bit more popular in the education system.

+ 1
I'm off to That London today to install a 6 screen triple head system into a girls school for their school play, all content created by the class.
With a fairly decent budget too.
Also my local council have asked if i'd be interested in running a vj course alongside their dj courses which they run in youth clubs.

Nice one nutcracke.
My theory is that it's because of all the visual stuff avalible these days. Phones with crap cameras and basic video editing, webcams and built in cameras. Free video editing software, free demo and then free hosting, vimeo and YouTube etc.
I think it's a real chance for the VJ to break into educatiion as the creative experience, working with people and general business knowledge. We can all work cameras, edit, produce and display material etc. Basically we all have individual areas of specaism but we are multiskilled in one way or another - and education likes this. So it's all good.
