Hi guys,
I'm looking to put together a low-tech setup based around a low-end (100-200Mhz) laptop and a VGA projector to provide simple beat-reponsive visuals to electro.
Not really looking to do the high end swirling 3d kind of stuff or do anything with video loops etc, more simple wireframe 3d etc.
Can anyone suggest some software that might do the trick?
Thanks in advance!
Paul

With a 100-200 mhz lappy you'll be lucky if you can get Geiss performing decently. Aside from that you really don't have a lot of options.

moonster will run on a p200 as will vjamm and aestiesis - the main issue is that a p200 laptop will genraly only have 2meg graphics ram - if you can find one that has 4 or 8 meg then it will work alot better

Yeah I have to agree that moonster and Vjamm will run well on old systems.... also SVi runs @ a good 15fps (acceptable @ a party) with just 2 layers active :)

look into AestesisDOS, I had that running on a 486DX2 75mhz lappy. You can still DL it from them, but they don't provide any support (its only there for posterity). But the manual for it is very good. And its free.

cthugha! =]

The old school feel of it might go well with electro too.
