have: 1 screen (1600 * 400 pixel)

first step:
2 separate audio sources
which should influence 2 separate grafic generators on the same screen

second step:
the two seperatly generated patterns should influence each other when they meet

any idea?

sorry.. more questions and then hopefully we'll get some answers..

first step: have you looked at winamp? or milkdrop? I think these will do what you want.. check www.audiovisualizers.com for other visualisation software (stuff that generates gfx to music).. I don't know much about these, but there are people around who do.

second step:
what kind of influencing do you want? if you've got the setup you could run the feeds from the visualisations into visualjockey I think, not sure about resolume or other vjsofts, and manipulate them from there..
but give us more info on what you mean by influence ;)
