Hi All,

Well, its the start of a new year and time for a bit of change for me.

A few of you know me on here already but I am a lecturer at a Uni in South Yorkshire but I want to do more VJ work.

I am free Wednesday to Sunday. I am not wanting to make a fortune, I just want to cover my costs and gain lots of experience.

I am quite capable of Vjing on my own but do not drive and only have a simple set up (ie: not much hardware). However I consider myself to be a high end user of vdmx and Isadora. I can create graphics and have lots of interesting patches that have never been used/seen before.

So, yea... basically if you need a hand doing anything from helping set up, de-rig, camera work, supporting or just a helping hand then give me a shout.

Thanks :p

You can always make/sell some content. I'll pimp your loops!

haha "pimp my loops" that made me giggle!

I've never thought about that to be honest. partly because there is so much free stuff out there that is it really worth it? I barely create and use my own loops these days to be honest.... only when I have to if you know what I mean?

Maybe I should consider it... cheers :-)

why not stick some cheapo adds in community papers/local press offering tution in "skillz" evn if not absolutely VJ?visual focussed much of what you do know is likely to be cross platformable?
Eisha was at a princes Trust thing thing recently and there was a lot of interest being shown and surprisingly from the Mentors and people giving the business talks more than the attendees about video for the web to promote their services. Looks like their is a lower scale production house market for lower scale business.

Cheers PCP.

A very interesting idea actually. I basically just don't want to go back into retail over summer. I think I shall do just what you suggested. Many thanks :D

A mate is doing courses for for Cubase 5 and Live 8, that is 6 people @£50 per person 5hrs at a time with free refreshments . He is on his third one and doing them monthly. This is in Brighton. One would think that Liverpool could support something tech related against that example.

I don't know what you are teaching at the Uni and how this would relate.
When I introduced Isadora in one of my multimedia classes, there were many who wanted me to give hands on private lessons to get started. You could run a free intro and go from there.
