I would like to ask ppl to drop a message if you are coming to the camp. Right now I can not foresee the scope of the whole event, other then that most of the german vj scene will attend and some are coming from the uk.
Again this event is about participation.
As there is no money involved I have all hands full organising tents, beamers, equipment and the such so I can not prepare more then one workshop myself.
If you want to speak about something demo a software or hardware setup please leave a note here or mail me - everything is welcome at this point.
It is very important to oversee this whole project at this time. I do not want to over/underestimate the thing so people get upset or are not satisfied if they come down.
Everyone who is coming is also gettting a slot to show their stuff during the night at the eat, see and listen area in the heart of the art and beauty village right next to the beautiful lake. :)

I can't come anymore
I have just got a week's work that will pay for most of a V-4, can't turn it down. I made a page on the ccc website, but can't figure out how to get it down . . . can anybody help? Have a great time though, I am gutted I won't be there.

i just saw on the ccc site that OpenAirVIT has been cancelled
https://wiki.camp.ccc.de/Camp/view/Main/OpenAirVIT#The_VJCentral
that's a real shame,
anyhow i guess i'm still off to berlin as i've already got the ticket.
i've got a couple of hitachi projectors (CX325) which i was planning to bring along too.
is it still worth while?
will it still be possible to play in the EAT SEE AND LISTEN AREA?
does anyone have a gig in the berlin area that they would like me to play at that weekend?
kind regards

life sometimes isn't 'a field of dreams'... build it, they may come, they may not.
but never, never don't try.
anyway, the camp is still going ahead, there will still be a core of vjs, just we won't have an official tent and the bold programme to go with it. so it'll be more about us doing stuff for us, than trying to educate & inspire a growing scene.

Hi there will be an Open AirVIT light version or Plan B ;)
-------------------------------------------------------------
after a little down side the last days I few of you and from the CCC have given me some new hope and commitment...
I had to cancel the tent due to the uncertainty of people attending and the cost that went with it.... The good thing is that I could "resell" the tent to the MacHackers who raised the money in less then 2 hours.... So with this of my mind there is the following plan:
7| 8| 9| 10| August:
there will be tents with "friends of the vjs" who like what we do and want to work together with us, so for people that want to come down and produce and talk without official workshops and join in the nights to perform on the beautiful waterscreen in the eat, see and listen area, those of you can just come down and are very welcome. there are some good tents where you can find a home and there will be kind of a vj homebase in the MusikWorkshop tent... this is the full camp ticket for 100 euro...
Friday. 8| August: NIGHT OF THE LOCALS
this will be one special night "vj gathering"... for those that live close enough to justify a trip down for 24 hours.... the tickets will be 25 euro and a 5 euro refund if you leave the area on time... this will also be a special art and beauty night with the all the deco turned on and multiple screen for multiple vjs on the eat see and listen area (there are 3-5 screens in plan depending on the beamers available (3 are secured already)) to have a little vj showcase with different groups performing at wants (ala leeds)...
one note: the decoration at the camp will be very very nice....
something you have not seen before... be surprised
sunny greatings,
fALk

7| 8| 9| 10| August: FREUNDE DER VJs GEBEN UNS EIN ZUHAUSE
sonnige gr??e,

Hello We are an italian VJ group called randomhaiku
We'll be glad to perform on openairvit. We just made a work in progress about CAT PEOPLE (an old B-movie) and his sequels.
We will be in Berlin 9th and 10th august.
In Berlin we will be three persons (two vj and 1 dj). We need more info about our idea. We know is late.
It should be great to find a phone number to call and ask all the questions we have.
Best wishes.
thanks
Ciao
