Anyone who still needs an introduction to Hexstatic by now had best read on. Seriously, there’s one here… Hexstatic are Stuart Warren Hill and Robin Brunson, and together they have been consistently breaking new ground in Audio and Visual entertainment since 1995. They are the funkiest and most glorious audio-visual performers in the world of breaks and beats, not to mention consistent purveyors one of the most enjoyable dancefloor parties ever. Every time Hex take to the decks they convert a whole new bunch of heads whilst still amazing old school fans after all this time. It is literally impossible not to be transfixed by their show whilst at the same time be dancing like a madman. They will make you defy the laws of physics. Also, potentially, those of acceptable use of adjectives (It’s been known to happen).

So, this night, the worlds greatest VJs, electro-breaks duo Hexstatic take to the stage for a full, live A/V set, But there’s more (oh yes)

Veteran jazz dissident Larry Stabbins’ collaboration with enigmatic sonic alchemist Krzysztof Oktalski, Stonephace is a mind-bending mix of hip hop and externalist semantics. Featuring Portishead’s Adrian Utley on guitar and Jim Barr on bass, plus a guest appearance from virtuoso trumpeter Guy Barker as you’ve never heard him before, Stonephace creates a unique universe where electronics, free jazz and Afro-tinged beats collide. Also, in this topsy-turvy universe there are super-groups, but they’re not shit… Imagine it! Think of them as a mix of Sun Ra, Fela Kuti, Pharaoh Sanders and early Soft Machine produced by Jay Dee and you might be getting close.

The Stonephace live show features Stabbins on sax and flutes, Utley on guitar, DeVegas on keyboards and Oktalski with the down and dirty drums on vinyl and laptop, all bathed in visuals from VJ Stella Marina.

Plus Glass Diamond , a young band who is just throw punk, dance, experimental and electronic music all together, and smash them up.

What’s that you say? Sweaty fans gyrating wildly whilst gawking in disbelief at the rapturous visuals beaming at them from our MASSIVE* screens? I can smell it already…
