:) Ummh.....some details would be nice.

If you are planning a free event and want VJ's to turn up free then some details would be nice. WHat music will be played etc, etc. If it was an event that a VJ as a punter might go along to anyway then maybe he/she would like to VJ>

I am curious why do you want 5!!!
What sort of event is it how long does it last. Most VJ's expect (sadly) that they have to do most of the night themselves. ANd earmark that. The biggest hassle is the rig/de-rig stuff. Is any eqipment provided??!?! Projetcors, video, screens, anything!?!

Maybe you will be best getting 1 VJ to provide eqipement (and vj) (if none is there) and have another cover VJ to do a set with his eqiptment.

So drop us some details although we can function as robots if we are paid if we are doing it for free it is less likely. :)

Edit: also any perticular style you like if you can explain (I know it i sdifficult) but clips of televised footage, etc, swirliy computer generated graphics etc, porn, political anti americain foootage. I dunno , there are so many 'syles'

Rather than send us a promo vid. We will know if we are wasting our time.

EASY :)

I am VJ myself :) all I have is a V4 a mac and arkaos + keyboard! + fatboy + projector.

also know think they have 2 projector + a basic mixer over there!
but maybe youu could also bring your own kit :)

know setting up etc is time consuming and not the best part of the job! but I guess it comes with the passion :) haven't got a technician myself :)

ts' vj's by vj's for vj's and friends!

not especially 5.. just a number! thought that it would be more interesting than two, also like that everyone can enjoy the party :) we wouldbe 2 vj's from the lab so far!

the music could be anything! thought that some of you guys had also some audio going! would be a few friends playing. from deep house to electro bit of drum n' bass and 2 steps! also work with a band called hum yum who might be interested in playing + a guys called stuffman who play live trance, electro type thing with whom I'll do a vs! you could bring your own dj's or musicians if you want..

it's very open and organic!

I understand your point about cargo very well!!! they sell a lot of drinks and its unfair! on the other hand it would probably mean a good audience and a fairly nice space to play with!

maybe should be more creative and find an empty building somewhere :)

sorry forgot to talk about the style footage!

our stuff is mainly produced by ourselves! but I don;t really see any restrictions as long as it pure and RAW :)

anything that's worth lookingn at ! strong message is always welcome :)

am working on some kind pf promo package for it!
not ready yet :) but I'll return the question! if you come and VJ!
what do u want to see :) we're not in an ad agency here!

if people play stuff! i would hope its what they really want to play :)
if its relevant its worth watching :)

peace

no worries :) understand what we are all going through!
need to make some cash with it to push it further :)

for all the london based people! if you really want to do something against venue who don;t pay vj's and artists! then I propose to set up a movement!

BOYCOT LONDON

list all venues who don;t pay and list all venues that pays!!! and distribute photocopiued flyers everywhere!!! that would be a good step! can design build the site and create the basis for teh campaign! but will need a lot of volunteers to move on? sounds realistic let me know :)

for the night at cargo! everyone welcome! let me know if you want play there!

the other option is i put the cash upfromt take a comission for the risk if we make enough and share the rest between teh number of artists at the end of the night! will meet the event booker at cargo in a couple of hours! will update you soon!
