Hi,
I am looking for footage of breakbeat/hip-hop/breakdancing. Does anyone know of any sites out there that may have sich footage.
I am aware that Holly is in the process of creating such a library, I am just after something to keep me going till she is finished. I need something to finish my project off quickly.

hey bro,
why don't you go out and shoot some of it..
Surly it can't be that hard to find a club with DJ's playing breaks or hip hop..
That is always the easiest and best way to get footage, plus you can say it's your's as well..
Good Luck!!

pix is right. thats gotta be something so easy anyone can shoot it. and if you do it in a dark space with only the dancers lit you can key it easly...
..but if you want to go the non DIY way.. every record store now has how-to break videos and break championships and you can even get cheesy "classic" break footage like darrin there on amazon.... you can use that to make loops, and freak with it on your mixer

You're prob right. Don't get my camera back for a month or two. You know what happens when you lend it out. you find you need it!!!!
Will look into filming when I get it back, just need something to satisfy me in the meantime.

if your cams gone and your going to go the pilfer-route, another thing you might consider is using ioher types of dance that you can find on video, but with the movements cut up tweaked and looped so they can go to the hiphop beats... stuff like fred astaire dancing but all looped like busting a robot move, or stuff from those 'that's dancing" series, which even has some kewl shots of little kids doing soft shoe... that look stotally dope with new beats... another thing that works like this is if you can get your hands on something to make the dancers scratch back and forth... ( http://www.vjforums.com/showthread.php?threadid=1117 ) then you can even use stuff like the three stooges and make them look like the're breakdancing.......won't be as "urban" but will be fun..
