i would imagine if it's open source, then it's freeto use.
I agree that sys requirements and an english manual would be useful, i would also be interested to know which video codecs/formats are compatible?
Looks like an easy to navigate UI though.

Like it.
Please can you explain how to set up a full screen output onto a second monitor.

Thanks.
- Enable dual monitor output (Mac or Windows).
- Setup left monitor to 1024x768
- Setup right monitor to 800x600
(or 640x480 if your card supports it; I found it easier to do on the Mac)
- Quase-Cinema shortcut f toggles between window mode and fullscreen.

I'm still unable to get a full screen output using an imac & your software.
Set imac to 1024x768
set 2nd monitor to 800x640
Output has the title bar and a part of the desktop on show at the top
I guess this is because my 2nd monitor is 1280x1024 native & the imac is 1440 x 900
Any thoughts?

Second monitor 800x600 ou 640x480.
Then go to the software preferences (... icon) and set the correct output size.

Tried that.
Heres a screen grab of the monitor output set to 800x600 with the GUI screen set to 1024x768

Nutcracker, does anything happen when you press f ? What about the slider for fullscreen on the app's prefs window?
Is your second monior aligned with the first one (monitors control panel)?

Thank you for your help, i now have it set up correctly...finally found the english button and then the video size slider.
Im off to give your software a good run & will report back, i really like what i see so far, especially like the 4 clips per layer thing, nice.

Nutcracker,
that issue with the output not filling the 800x600 is easily solved on the app's setup screen (access it by clicking on the "..." icon, besides the audio button - little speaker). As it is now, it's outputing a 640x480 frame on a 800x600 canvas. Just put the slider on 800x600 to fill it. The app will scale any supplied movie to the size.
Now, the title bar issue. Is your GLUT setup like this: (access it using the Preferences menu bar item on QuaseCinema - the MacOS menu bar):
