A while back i saw some flash/shockwave b+w masks, of people dancing, drumming etc.. they were very simple and kinda tribal. looked really cool. i seem to remember the guy who had them on his site said with his permission people could use them live. They would work really well for a gig tomorrow, and wondering if anyone can remeber where i saw it and possibly have a link.
i looked high and low, and times running out

thanks

no need to be so confused Rova   :) , normally i would make it myself, but this ain't been no normal week. Which started off with me breaking my wrist, and is finishing with a gig tonight. If i had trustfull helping hands, and some more time i would film it for sure, i pride myself on using very little gathered footage, and would much rather have my own etc... but time nor my bones is gonna let it happen, so just thought i could easily grab that for this gig.

nevermind, guess i'll have to use more live camera work on the guy playing psy trance with his electric guitar :)

Is it really neccessary for every post enquiring about particular types of footage to be followed by a response of "film it yourself"?

I agree that it is good idea to encourage people to collect their own material (for the record our gig last night used entirely self-filmed content)

But, come on, this guy said he is looking for footage for a gig the next day and was looking for some clips that someone put out publically and said that people could use.

Debates are good from time to time, but this forum is here to help people in practical ways as well. I think that, sometimes, peoples strong views on things like sampling, sharing footage etc can lead to potentially useful threads going off-topic.

Is a kneejerk "film it yourself" response to every post really neccessary?

But really..., it's getting so one can't go out to a wearhouse these days without tripping over a little clump of tribal drumers (all white boys who look like they could use a shower:cool: ).

Was this the site?http://www.flashkit.com/movies/Animations/Vector_Animations/People/

Note that the site that holly just mentioned carries the following note:

Open source movies. Click on a section or sub section to view our movies. Each movie has a full preview page and details. These movies are for educational use. If you wish to use commercially please contact the authors.

I'm sure many of the authors will give permission for their stuff to be used though.
