ok I know this is a far fetched question but I saw this type of installation once and curious about going about making something of the sort.

Here's how it goes :

I wondered how you could possibility setup 3 screens with a split output , meaning the middle one ( saying that the 3 screens where to be setup side by side ) would have direct output of the mixed content ( without any effects ) and have the two outside screens projecting the mixed content with effects....

how would you go about that ?

I was thinking possibly midi synching between two V4s ( I don't know what I'm saying really :D ) so that the transitions at least would go to the center projection, and have the other V4 be your mixing and effects mixer for the outside projectors ?

another way would be using a pretty basic video mixer just to do transitions on the center one but that involves mixing on two mixers, and easilly losing synch....

now you have to facture in that more then one source is being mixed  ( pardon my crazy idea )
I don't even know how this is possible

they might have been running the preview/loop thru channels to the outside screens and the mix to the middle one.... otherwise, yeah, two mixers..... if I'm following ya correctly

Why don't you get two splitters?

First one behind your mixer with one output straight to middle screen and the otherone into your fx box (computer or whatever).

The second one behind your fx-output going to the two outer screens...

Would that do the trick?
