Hi,

I am very new to scan converter issue and I have a question about it.

I just bought a scan converter from FOCUS. It's "TView Gold". It supposely zooms 2X of your laptop screen. The thing is that it seems like it zooms into 320 x 240 and displays it at full screen no matter what resolution your laptop screen is. In other words if the res of the laptop in 1024 x 720 and the VJ software has 640 x 480 preview window it only shows a half of that screen. (I happened to find a new VJ software called "Kazetachi" from Japan and it has 640 x 480 preview window.)

Is this how it works?? I called FOCUS and their support is very unhelpful.

Thanks bunch

try switching your computer to uxga 1600 by 1280 which should make your image window smaller , i don't know if that will solve you problem , but it might help . if your software switches it automatically , try the programs system preferences . a scan converter simply changes a computer image signal like xga in to a video signal with-out flashing or distortion . it maybe that your software is incompatible with your scan converter , smaller portable units have there limits . anyway i don't know if this helps but i thought i'd give it try and let you know you not alone out there .:)

Yeah.. I tried it but didn't work. Still displays 320 x 240 res. I guess I have to use Motion Dive which has 640 x 480 preview....

Thanks guys!

its too late for u eazy, but best bit of advice when getting a scanny is always make sure it has scaleable zoom , the fixed size ones almost never fit with softwares output windows

Damn... your right...it's too late to retunr that.

But i have heard that many VJs use the same scanny, I wonder how they are dealing with this.

Thanks,
