need help with flowmotion

Hello, I am a new VJ, am living in Cartagenas de Indias, Colombia and need some help. I bought flowmotion, but all video I import is very choppy, I loose alot of frames. Most of my video is quicktime 320 by 240....my screen res for both monitors 800 by 600, I have a good laptop....I wrote to jilt, the maker but he doesnt respond.
Could u give me some tips?

how long are the clips you are trying to import? because flowmotion works best with <10 second clips ... because every frame is preloaded into memory... fills up fast.
You have the new version right? then you can choose how many frames are used to import each clip, by dragging the 'frames' fader to the right. This should be enough to get most <20 sec clips smoothish.

For really long clips the best option is not to preload then but to stream them, this is also an option in the import menu.
