Videoplex PCI

I have just aquired 3 Optibase Videoplex PCI cards.
They play Mpeg1 and 2 streams but i dont know if I could use them in a VJ environment.
Any ideas anyone?

Hardware MPEG2 acceleration is good to play DVDs (it's a pretty common features on graphic cards nowadays), but usually both MPEG formats are not a good solution for VJing, because they take too long to decompress. Besides I don't think all VJ softwares would handle such hardware acceleration - maybe only the ones using DirectX.
