hi i've gone through a number of different dvd players and have even tried using car dvd players stacked in a rack running off a 12v power supply

currently have 3 proline 1350 dvd players as they were one of the few models that ticked all the boxes, so many new dvd players especially the large brands sony/pioneer ertc. have no controls on the front and are all remote.

they have progressive scan
they have an lcd display panel
they have FWD rewind , play/pause /stop on front panel
loads of connections on the back
loads of repeat functions etc.
lightweight, quite small, perfect width to stack two or three with a laptop ontop

best of all they were £25 from currys or dixon can;t remeber which.

just remember if the enviroment is very bassey all portables will stutter at times...

i found the solution here though. Simply put foam stripps under them to absord everything :)
