View Full Version : Sync Problems?

I had the chance to try out my new setup for the first time last night, and I ran into a problem. There were 2 projectors and 1 TV hooked up to my output, already wired by the club. One of these projectors kept 'losing the signal' and showing a blank screen every few seconds, the other projector and the TV had noticeable bands of dark and bright slowly travelling up them.

I'm using a TView scan converter, with an RCA output plugged in to a club-supplied switcher box. My PC is running in 60Hz mode, the output looks fine on the TV's I tested on previously, and someone else has used their setup with no similar problems at this club.

My current feeling is that the signal being output from my scan converter is not high enough quality for the projectors, the sync isn't good enough? I'm just guessing though, and any advice or suggestions would be very welcome

Pete

Yeah sounds like they are juts splitting the outputs to the units rather than using a proper VDA, and our signal isn't quite as strong to begin with as this other persons was.

hey pete. i beleive it's a grounding issue. your setup and the projectors and the audio are all on the same power source at the martini lounge. been that way for a year now. the main reason we don't record video is because of this issue...they're router there is ghetto.

best,
