I've been searching vj central and past threads trying to dig up some info, but I still have a few questions regarding software and outputting.

I'm buidling a desktop system and I'm trying to decided which vj software to go with. I'm a bit confused about outputting my video. From what I've read many of you use scan converters. As far as I can understand this allows you to zoom into your output window thus outputting full screen video to you projector. Is this correct?

If so, does this meathod result in poor video quality?

The other meathod for outputting fullscreen video seems to be the dual head video card... Can some one explain (brifely) how this works?

What software do some of you reccomend, if I want to be able to output fullscreen at a decent resolution? I looking for something of a video triggering nature like Resolume.

Thanks very much, please for give the long post.

the outher way is to use some software with dueal head such as resolume, and by a cheap pci graphics card for your interface and the agp graphics card as your main output card

So in resolume I can assign the output to a specific video card?

If I have on board video and then add an agp card will that work as well?

Can I get a few quick agp video card considerations?
