I'm looking to delay video from one screen to another. What I'm trying to do is delay the first source for 1 second and then continue this down the line of screens. The KORG KAOSS PAD entrancer is one solution, but since I need many of these devices, it will be prohibitively expensive. I've heard of using video cameras, e.g. dv cams, to produce this effect. Any other ideas???

modul8 or any free frame supporting VJ app with
live camera input
use the timewarp free frame filter (http://www.petewarden.com/).
you'll get 3 outs with a TH2go or up to 7 with a tower.

you can get dedicated video delay units, but most of them operate in miliseconds range rather than seconds. RAM is quite expensive in those.

I wish there was a solid software solution doing that.

I got my friend programmer to help me with an implementation using IUVCR segmented capture job and c++ program looking in watch folder and adding every new file to a winamp playlist to achieve a 1 minute delay, unfortunately it was drifting out of sync quite badly
