If the 80s ancient Beta and VHS formats emptied the cinemas and the 90s launched Cut&Mix style it was just a matter of time when home video and editing systems will give birth to a new cinematography based on hypertext.

What are we on about? Audiovisual collage, logical progression of a video clip, MTV live edited rhythm dictated image sequences or to put it short, VJing.

Did you ever get mesmerised by images splattered over the walls by a light beam sprayed from an LCD projector when you raised your eyes of your rhythm posessed dance buddies?

That is it. That is us. Light surgeons. Doctors of freezframe. Nurses of your smoke tormented clubby eyes.

Now what? Nothing. Join us at Central cinema... see that a film is more than a sequence of scenes... get visually cultivated. Or out of control.

nice, that sounds really cool, i asusme this is a press release or somthing you've posted here. it sounds pretty cool, is it a sit down event (i ask from seeing the 'cinema' as the venue) or slub stylie, just out of interest?

one more thing, i realise your in croatia, but here in england, funnily enough there is a VJ name 'the Light Surgeons', but i guess you did;nt mean them?

i wish you all the best with this event, and the future promotion of vjing in your area, this is the sort of thing the community needs, 'global avit's' sort of thing.

yup, we'll try to make this event cool, this is the first time we'll do it but the tension is to make it happen few times a year. You're right - since it's in cinema, it's only sit-watch-listen thing.
Thnx for support and reaction, i'll post some photos link after it happens so you can get impression what was going on.
...and i didn't realize "the light surgeons" are VJs from england... : ( cool name tough, but we just used this expression to try to describe what we are and what does this mystery VJing thing mean ; ) i guess we're all light surgeons :nod:
