Have many people tried to create short clips only with digital still cameras > the tedious frame by frame with no effects > a crazy kind of stop motion feel can be generated from it. From our trials night time is the best to create abstact patterning using long exposures.

Yep! and the effect can be stunning - if a bit frenetic!! With a certain amount of care and planning you should be able to produce some worthwhile footage, just set you camera to 640x480 and "normal" resolution - this gives me about 500 shots on my camera, then import them into Premiere and Bob's yer uncle!
