Kit?

Can you tell me, what's the minimum amount of kit that a vj needs, and can you recommend any descent makes/models? As I'm not he worlds richest person!

Best bit of kit you can use is situated between your ears! A brain fitted with "Imagination v.2.3" and Visual awareness plug-in. Add to this a smattering of initiative, which should suggest that you read the "Read this first" post at the head of this forum. Your question is a bit like saying "What make of car should I use to get to the station?"

I doubt if any 2 VJs in the world would have the same exact rig, but most people here would recommend at least 2 video sources (possibly a laptop running some kind of VJ software and a player with prepared material) and a video mixer, but obviously you can get away with much less if you throw in a healthy dose of Jaffa's advice.
