Hi everyone !
Have you heard of the Samsung DVD player that is a Hard Drive VCR at the same time ? has anyone tried it for VJing ?
As you can copy DVD content and video into MPEG2, I assume you can trigger it in real time, so maybe it is a good idea ???
I'm planning to buy one of those, so if anybody has experience with it, the info would be highly preciated...
Bye

i never heard a vcr\dvd combo with hd but when i thougt to use a combo i realized that if the vcr\dvd is going the dvd\vcr can't so you can't use as you have two different sources .
think about using x-box (better if has samsung dvd ) with modify and replacing the original hd with a 80 - 100 - 120 gb hd.reads all format divx included. byez vjkl@

Are you using a X-box yourself for this purpose ?
What program is needed to play MPEG/DivX content ?
The good point I see about the HDD vcr is that recording analog and modified (with a Sony color corrector i got secondhand) footage to the HD directly. This way I will be able to use it quickly, without going through the hassle of transferring it to DV, editing it into the Mac, transferring to DivX or MPEG...
