The Plaid Tongued Devils http://www.thedevils.com/ a klezma/ska band from Calgary, are touring Netherlands, Belgium and Germany this spring. You can check here to find out which shows are confirmed, which are tentative: http://www.thedevils.com/shows.html
That said, I was wondering if there are any VJ's in those areas interested in doing some projections for any of the shows. I would think this is an opportunity for the less experienced VJ's looking for more experience. If they had the money to pay I would force them to bring me along, but they don't.
I am not familiar with the clubs they are playing at, so there may be some room for a VJ to negotiate directly with the clubs for some compensation.
As for content and style, the band would put no pressure on the VJ, the VJ would be free to experiment, but it might be prudent to know in advance what these guys sound like. Samples can be found here: http://www.thedevils.com/multi.html
I know their music is not everyone's "cup of tea", but they do put on a very energetic and fun show. If anyone is interested (as it is free work, I don't expect VJ's to be lining up for this opportunity) they could e-mail Ty ty@tysemaka.com
I'm not posting this to sell tickets (I'm sure the band wouldn't complain if it did), I'm posting this as a favour for some good friends and any assistance provided would be greatly appreciated.
