a quick translation for those of you who need help understanding what DJs
mean when they speak to the press.

FROM DJ MAG (http://www.djmag.com/index.php?op=story&story_op=display&story_id=1017&status=Live&type=news)
In an unprecedented move, who’s been booted out of our Top 100 DJs poll?
The biggest DJs at the centre of our investigation were US stars Christopher Lawrence and DJ Dan. Both shared the same marketing manager.“In both their cases, a script was used to bypass our security system,” said Roberston. “

Both Lawrence and Dan vehemently denied any involvement in vote rigging. “I take this matter very seriously,” said DJ Dan.

means : oh shit, we better find a fall guy

“My assistant and I confronted my former marketing manager via telephone. ...When I discovered the common link was our marketing person, I immediately terminated him.”

means : I'm in this up to my neck, but I'm f*cked if I'm taking the blame

Lawrence’s lawyer Kent Liu said: “My clients are willing to declare under oath that they themselves did not purchase or use a script, nor did they instruct any person in their employ to do so.”

means : we found an IT geek who would work for free and told them to fix the poll , but we said nothing about them using a script to do it.

More voting irregularities surround the Flash Brothers from Israel — we detected over 1300 votes from the same IP address. They blamed “friends and family”.
It appears that some of our friends and family simply wanted to surprise us at all costs and help our cause.

means : its just a coincidence that my grandma is a hacker

What's a marketing manager then :lol2: Does he do the shopping for you

It does show how important getting onto this list is for the DJ's which has been exactly my point over the last couple of years with regards to the VJ list. It increases business  Are the guys in the top 20 really that affraid of the extra competition :lol2:

This is freaking hilarious. I always wondered how all those half ass clowns manage to stay in the top 100 so long. Some of them can't even watch their levels so they don't clip their signal.   :lol2:

I still dont know how Tiesto is number one. Anyone can make that shit sound good if they have seven minutes to mix each song together

rofl ... oh dear, that's hilarious! "I'm going to wave mine all around"

the biblical style quotes are very cool..
"if thou shalt stand in front of the stage,
with thy back faceth the DJ,
and thy energies directed towards the people on the floor,
the party shall be saved"

- that's so true .. why does everyone face the DJ these days? to escape each other? why not celebrate each other!

Almost everything is unavailable now, friends upload videos show me on msn and by the time i click it their unavailable... somethings seriously wrong with the sheer number of bad vids there

it clearly says...

This video is no longer available due to a copyright claim by Black Hole Recordings B.V.

usually you get a generic 'for copyright infringement'

shame on DJMag's #1 DJ , is all I can say...

Reminds me of a Bill Hicks sketch

"I'm fucking sick of it, touring the world, earning millions of dollars, groupies blowing me from dawn to dusk"

"Hey wait, I have an idea"

"What if, we get our audience to kill themselves, then I can go back to my day job"

I'm sure the uploader won't get sued for the copyright infringement, but i'm sure he's a Tiesto fan and hopefully he'll never buy another Tiesto record again

Because like his music or not, he is the biggest dj in the world. He plays to thousands more people than any other dj. How many other djs tour with their own sell out arena 'concert'?

Nice bloke who allways has time to speak to you, good DJ, good label, great marketing, expensive and good PR campaign, popular worldwide and in particular the USA....I'd say he deserves it. I doubt if there's a Trance DJ who wouldn't want to work with him. One of the first to embrace visuals too and giving DVJ's a run out.
