I am starting to create quite a collection of various loops on my hard drive as well as movie samples. I was wondering what was the most logical way to organize these clips? The main purpose will be to edit them at a later time, at home, into a final product that i can take around with me.
I have been searching for a software program that is similar to explorer but could show an image of each clip and search meta data about that clip. Well that program does not seem to exsist as of yet.
My collection grows by the day and there doesnt seem to be any current software devolopment for commercial use. Since this is the situation I was wondering if anybody had any pointers on how to categorize a dynamic database of samples? I would think that it would be similar to what a musician might use when creating a track. I want to emphasis that this would not be used in a live setting. This is strictly for at home, for composing material. In the future i will just use one of the vj programs for organizing material for a live show using a folder system.
Any help is greatly appreciated!!
