Hi ya,

I know the deadline is still a few weeks away,
but could I just get a "hands-up" from the people who are actually planning to submit something?

(just to get myself a good idea of the type of stuff i'm going to be showing)

thanks, Ne1

How about uncompressed DV format on CDROM? Or any other preferred codecs?

How about PC based interactive or sound responsive installation as Win32/Web application?

hey anyone,
i'm not sure if you realize that there is a VJ that goes by VJ Culture, and the title of this post can be interpreted that VJ Culture will be at the museam performing...
just a heads up for the next time...:)

I hear you Pixy,
and respect to VJ culture as well,

but I cant stop using this very common combination of words,
at least in my dictionary.

In the same manner,
I'm not stopping anybody to say "anyone"
even if they're not refering to myself.

This is probably a similar situation
to VJs.net or VisualJockey or AVIT.

VJ Culture was coined a while ago by Lina Russell,
a colleague of mine at the ICA,
simply as a label that says whats in the tin...
"we will be doing a series of screenings
to acknowledge the culture of VJing"
I think it fits quite well...

Having said that, I did not know about
VJ Culture at that time...
If I did I would'nt have called that way.
now it's too late, hope you understand, VJ Culture.

as compensation,
if you want to participate in this screening,
I can highlight a special place for you...

No problems Mate, just bringing it to your attn.

As for having VJ Culture represented at the ICA
I would certainly endorse having grant's work being displayed..
He is definately a US pioneer in the VJ world, and has built somewhat of a " VJ Culture" in the Bay area for sure...(not to say there aren't others)

He also does quite a bit of visual intallations, that have been in many Bay area museam's
