AV Arcade Table - call for contributions!
I have converted an arcade cocktail cabinet to run Vjamm and have made a kind of 2 player AV Arcade table which is to be featured in Cybersonica, later this month http://www.cybersonica.org/

There is a short movie clip (filmed in the back of my van - nowhere else to put the thing at the moment!) here: http://www.boredbrand.com/v-jamma.mov

If anyone wants to contribute content I'd be chuffed. The machine will feature clips by Vjamm All Stars, Hexstatic and Exceeda so you'll be in good company.

I can't buy any content (unless someone wants to buy the table") but can guarantee alot of exposure. As well as Cybersonica I will be taking the av table to various festivals and other events over the summer as part of my Digital Funfair. If you do contribute alot of people will see/hear your clips. I can also put any flyers/publicity under the glass of the table itself.

Any clips you actually own copyright of, you keep all the rights, I promise not to sell them etc

The format is that I will have 1 background loop playing all the time with a basic beat - this would be an ideal clip to place any logos, credits, web links for promotion purposes.

The other clips are triggered by the joystick and buttons. I currently have synced clips on the joystick and the others on the buttons but it doesn't have to be like this.

If anyone is up for it email me gavspav [at] boredbrand [dot] com

I've sent you some bits that would suite it nicely. Cool little unit.

Oh crap that's cool - and similar, conceptually, to AV-as-gaming projects that I'm working on. Great minds and all that :)

Oh and feel free to use these - (direct ZIP download) Share.LA Beatbox Clips (http://ia311541.us.archive.org/0/items/Share_LA_Beatbox_Challenge/share_la_beatbox.zip). They're CC-Licensed, all shot by me at a share.LA - and I can get you a list of everyone's name if needed. Cheers!

Thanks!
I'll try to find time to put them together this week.

nice - let us know when you have some pics of the unit on your website. We'd love to see our designs in action.

Will do but as I said, only the AV clips made it.
Just to check - were your clips just visual? There was no sound when I played them on my PC.
I will make up some audio clips for them some time soon but flat out now. soz.

yep just visual? I thought the machine created a beat that plays in the background?

Thats my bad explanation.
There is a background beat but all the clips are av.
Triggering clips overlays video and audio.
As I said I'll try to get some audio loops that fit your visuals one day. Would be good.

I never actually posted anything about the finished piece but I have just made a slightly low quality youtube vid about it:

Thanks for all the contributions and sorry to all those people whose footage I never used (yet)
