KataFX 3.0

I have reposted my vj app KataFX 3 (http://www.katascope.com/KataFX3/) on katascope.com

It runs as a visualization plugin for winamp. It was previously posted on the winamp.com site, but I pulled it offline for various reasons. It also ran as an IOTD on flipcode.com (http://www.flipcode.com/cgi-bin/msg.cgi?showThread=04-10-2002&forum=iotd&id=-1) - which includes technical details.

I'm now using KataFX 5(unreleased) for shows, but I decided to make KataFX 1/2/3 available to the public - There is a restriction in that VJ's may not use it for parties unless they license it, but the download is a full version.

Anyhow, let me know what you think.

Any difference in teh version or just the sameas the copy I have from many moons ago.

Same features as before. . . And editor, mixer, etc. . I don't think many people ever learned the editor. . .

I've been having a few problems with the editor, can't get it to do much, and also the mouse does'nt click where you click it if you know what i mean, and no matter how mich i turned my sound input down it seemed to top out a lot and be quite hectic. very nice stuff though.

have i missed readme file somewhere?

Yeah, some people have reported the mouse problem - definitely the minority, but it still happens. . . most annoying. .

the sound input tries to auto-regulate (since mp3's vary widely in volume) . . . which causes volume control to be pretty much useless. . . not sure how to compromise on that.


there is *some* documentation on the KataFX3 page, but it's far from complete
