i'm coding a vj tool with visual basic.i know isn't the best language for this things but is all i know for the moment.

you can see the results in www.visformer.com

now i'm thinking in add some fx and a mixer

i'm using the standard mci commands to play de videos. i can play 2 and 3 videos in separates picture boxes with a good frame rate. my idea is put this picture boxes out the screen an then capture it, mix and apply fx in ram an then send it to screen.

anyone knows a good graphics library (and freeware please) for visual basic to work with the captured bitmaps?

i've tried with directx but is too dificult for me for the moment

i've did some tests with a lib named "foxcbmp", with very good results but it hasn't any documentation

Not sure if its possible to interface with it in vBasic, but maybe freeframe support is what you could use.

freeframe.sourceforge.net

Well, same like the Bluelive suggestion, not exactly Visual Basic libraries, but at least something for good inspiration/ideas.
