HI @ll I'm new here.
this is my first post / question

what is the best software to trigger video with audio included ?

For now I use Arkaos and I didnt use files with sound,
few days ago I wanted to use sound with some clips and I found that every time I try to play clips with sound laptop dies and I have to restart it :(

It is any whay to fix it ?

i had arkaos for a few days...it doesn't work so well.

i got resolume...it doesn't have any facility to automatically trigger based on music.

visual jockey does! also flowmotion and others.

visualJockey R3.2 doesn't play back any sound included in an AVI file. The only way to play back sound with vJo right now is to use flash movies but the development team is actually studying the case. A sound player and an AVI with sound player may be soon added to the development plan, but right now vJo isn't the best tool to VJ+DJ on a single machine. You will have no problem controlling vJo with sound or midi input though ;)

OK not trying to have a go @ VJo, but if it doesn't do the job... and it wasn't mentioned in the original post or any of the other replies why mention it???

Yeah and hama's right the best prog @ the mo to do the job is prolly Vjamm :)

I got VJAMM full but it doesnt support files with frames > then 384x288 ... I'll take a look at Vjamm pro / low leve

...hello to everybody, this is my first post too, i?m spanish from Zaragoza, Spain, Europe, my english is really poor excuses. i?m cheking Vjamm low level, this software have a very, very fast response, but have an estrange probrem, when play avi files (with sound of course) the playback speed is extremely high why?????, i don?t see speed controls in the program interface, how i can to reduce playback speed? somebody knows?.

OK I stand corrected but I think a "no VJo doesn't do it" is more appropriate than a VJo developement monologue.

I do think that it is important to provide correct and complete information on vJo R3, and I am also convinced that this "vJo development monologue" will help sneakyimp get a better picture of what our software can and cannot do. If you have no interest for it, don't read it. If my post can prevent any customer from saying "I bought vJo to play AVI with sound and it doesn't work" in the future, that's what I call "appropriate".

I don't have problem with critics though MoRpH, and I don't want to be seen as a vJo salesperson, even more considering that I don't make a penny out of this visualJockey adventure. Critics can only remind me not to cross the advertisement frontier. Maybe that's closer to what seems to itch you each time your read a post about visualJockey, but if you read well you'll see that the only thing I'm doing is providing information, and if that can make a difference in vJo sales well I'm proud of it :)

what version are you using? this sounds like an old bug in VJlow that set the speed to very fast for some or all of your clips. (sorted out ages ago)

to change the speed of clips you simply press the number (1-9) keys on your pc keyboard - 5 is normal speed, 3 is exatly halfspeed and 7 is double
the up and down arrow keys do fine adjust of clip speed and pageup and pagedown do corse adjustment
