URGENT REQUEST

Hi,

Im looking for hardware to hire that will take 5 VGA/DVI inputs from G5's and give an RGB, VGA or DVI output at the highest resolution possible.

I know of the Edirol V-440 HD and SW, but as far as I know they are not available in this country right now. If anyone out there has any alternative solutions(or a V-440) I'd love to here from you. It's for a very high profile this Friday in London.

Thanks,

Blue Rinse

maybe an analogway eventix is suitable - a few people in london have them to hire (try central presentations, PSL, XLVideo)

Actually the V-440 HD mixer is available in the UK. PM the IUA (http://www.vjforums.com/private.php?do=newpm&u=2236) boys to find out where they are renting the one they are using from.

I doubt tho that you will find any Standard VJ mixer that will do the 5 inputs you want. You will need to look more at a pro HD switcher rental me thinks.

Hey thanks for your quick response. Much appreciated!

Yeah, it looks like the V-440 HD is alive & kicking in the UK.

Hey Sleepytom, great leads! The Eventix looks like a very good back up option too. You know your stuff:nod: (thats a nod, not a bow to worship smile!)

It all depends on da amount of cash you can spend. You say you want to mix VGA or DVI.

The Extron SGS408 will alow 8inputs with a max resolution of 1400/1050
The analoge way Octo fade; 8inputs with max reslution up to 1240/1024
The folsom presentation Pro : 7 inputs upto 1600/1200
Or if you really want to impress your client :) the Sony Anycast

But you need a big bag of cash fot these

Thanks for all your help!

The event went really well. In the end we ended up using just a couple of switch boxes and a V4. But I'm still very grateful for the info & advice give above. As they say, reconnaissance is seldom wasted.
