Streaming a live broadcast

Ok, I need to start from the beginning. If I want to stream a live broadcast from the club I work at is it possible? Is so does it really tax my computer? We have cable modem at the club and I use my computer for dj'ing?

I'm not sure if this fits under vj, if not sorry.

encoding needs to have a dedicated box. and a video/audio capture device. you already have the cable modem. it wont work trying to mix and encode.
