Your style reminds of the work coming out of the Weiden & Kennedy labs in Tokyo, they are a great agency, check some of their other moves such as the DJ uppercut vs Ninja animation, its probably my fave piece of commercial animation.
Your 'In motion' was my fave http://www.momo1030.com/draw_in_motion.mov
Keep things simple...no need to make peoples eyes bleed :)

great idea: using UV inks in a club environment is genius to keep lighting levels down.
well executed, combines really well with the architectural photo shots.
really good straight forward site too.

thanx for the link: W&K tokyo side rocks. just like this digital painted vector style. keeps it more organic and warm.
..was quite happy to find the uv ink. really had serious light problems the first gigs :-)
...to be honest, the tricky thing is to combine the two sources, so that it looks smooth and "nice".
keep experimenting...

my fave too. the simplicity allows the brilliance and individualist style to shine through extremely well.
sped-up drawings/re-draws on a blackboard... what an elegant concept! could probably even do an entire half-hour series with that.

I've always liked motion graphics being overlayed on real world footage nice work:)

how much does that uppercut clip totally rock.
for a live version.. things where the ribbons sort of encircle the ninja from behind would possibly be pre-made... then the vj could have various 'moves' for the two characters, with maybe a 3rd layer for the backgrounds; at least two V4's would be nice if trying to re-create this piece live just using elements.
vj software mixing/overlaying would play a part of course. AVmixer and Pilgrim are two softwares i know that give the option of realtime 3D-skew, so you can get that cool perspective shift that goes on.

What are good suppliers and brands for the wide UV markers and also UV aerosol spray paint? (US suppliers for me)
Nice work.
There is a famous film of Picasso painting on a frosted glass screen where you can see it from his side or see the painting take shape without the view blocked by the painter.

a friend of mine, showed me some stuff on that style a couple of months ago, it wasn't black and white, it had colors, some pretty sick and cool stuff.... lots and lots of hours on 5 minute videos, with cops included :)
i think boom2004 had some of that too in the back of the main dome-stage

Oky, doky next drawvolution experimental session was held this year at the urban art forms festival in Wiesen/Austria form the 2-5 of august.
We played like 3 hours using 3 live cams (one for the drawingbox, one on top of a turntable and one little fish eye cam for the papermodels) and a laptop for live sampling.
e1000 from madrid joined me for painting. i did the live mixing and recording.
We did use all kind of different technics like, stop motion cut out animation, 3d papermodel scratching, blacklight painting, normal painting, ...
So this is a kind mix up of our clips we did produced during the live session.

http://www.momo1030.com/urban_art_forms_2007_3.jpg.http://www.momo1030.com/urban_art_forms_2007_4.jpg
movie: 7,3mb, 2:35 min, h.264 codec,
http://www.momo1030.com/urban_art_forms_2007.mov
experience: well session was cool, because we did most of our animations live and remixed them with the computer.
Was not so happy keying with normal light. As you can see at the and of the video black light keying got better results.
because of mixing and playing only with live cameras i have to explore more my v4 and find more good combinations ( mirror effect is my favourite for now).
And capture more urban backgrounds to fit with live painting.
so thats it for now. Next session will be at the 25.8 in vienna for a drumnbass festival. fast faster, turbo....

The next drawvolution step....
3 days nonstop painting on 1 canvas with 9 Artists from 4 different countries.
Drawvolution The1stCut
The weekend is over and my harddrive is full with over 5000 fotos and 17 gig less of space.
I invited 8 urban painters from Hungary, Germany, Slovakia and Austria to paint with me a 14 m2 wall
nonstop for 3 days during the electronic music festival (UrbanArtForms) in Wiesen near Vienna/Austria. We used cans,
paint, rollers, tapes and brushes to colorize the woodplates.
The weather was fine. Sunny and hot.
Beer. Fun. Kaos.
The aim of the 3 days was to record and document the clash fo different cultures, personality and
style that every painter has. And yes, it was a pure festival painting session. Raw, rough and dusty.
Big thanks to all painters sharing their creativity and time.
Painters involved:
Biok (SK)
Torz merev (HU)
CUT16 (HU)
Budhatomi (HU)
aham (HU)
heeendl (GER)
Skizo (AUT)
I love Ally (AUT)
