G4 titanium powerbook 800 mhz

i'm using a g3/500 powerbook presently. and i know that the irez capsure card i have will not work with g4/800 ti. is there a pcmcia card that is compatible g4/800 ti? i'd rather use pcmcia than usb...

what software are you using? has the hardware made a big difference for realtime effects? i'm using my own patch made with nato.0+55. so if you're using say: vdmx2 i'd like to know if capturing live video input at 720x486 yields a framerate of 30 or more fps.

just wondering if should wait yet another 6-8 months for the next generation.
