If memory serves me correctly its been broken since last December. The server got repeatedly attacked, and we werent sure if vjcentral was the weak link.

So we upgraded vjforums to new version of messageboard software, and it lost the link to vjcentral. We also put vjcentral ona different server, to isolate it and see if it was insecure or unstable.

Anyway karma wasnt considered that vital a feature, and it made sense to wait until the new vjcenral was created, before fixing this function. But unfortunately the vjcentral V3 task is huge, and we require money or hundreds of free hours of skilled peoples time, to make the new vjcentral happen. It puts into perspective just how much exhale was giving to the community when he wrote the original 2 versions of vjcentral himself.

If anybody is interested, plenty of thinking and experimenting has been done by a few people, on what the new vjcentral could be like. Drupal is the current choice of system to use. 60-90% of vjcentrals needs can be met with existing drupal modules, no massive amounts of coding needed, just many many hours to setup, configure & customise. But we still need to clarify exactly what the community wants, and none of the people involved in this have had enough time to actually make the site a reality yet. The thread Ive just posted about donations in the general forum is part of the solution to this problem, along with more members talking about vjcentral and what they would like to see from a new version, given all the developments in the wider internet in the last few years.

Sorry I missed this before.

I honestly don't know what has happened to the Karma at the moment. I imagine the integration with the new Vbulletin software v3.0 for VJForums and VJCentral.

It to be honest was a fairly messy intergration to begin with. And the whole of VJC needs to be rewritten before adding Karma to it.

Realisticaly I think this will be some time before it is fixed.
