Hi!
i was wondering if there was anyone else doing similar stuff to us - we also use 8mm projectors live and draw on the films, it creates a look you just can't get with computers!
where are you guys from? we are based in cornwall, uk.
let us know if you are doing any events in the u.k. would love to see super8 done live when im not the one doing it!
take it easy,
alex

... draw on the films, it creates a look you just can't get with computers!...
You mean, that you have for example a continous line
drawn on the film that results in a flickering line on
the projection screen?
If you mean something like that, then I have to say -
yes you can do such things with a computer.
You can export movies into filmstrips (.flm),
import it into for example Photoshop and
draw on it like on a .. filmstrip.
But in terms of warmth and grain and colors you are right,
it's hard to copy the film look.
Btw. the guys are from Graz (Austria),
just like me ;)
