You've never heard of hexstatic?

They're the guys who worked with Coldcut on (in my opinion) some of the best pieces of audio-visual art ever.

hexstatic - do you have a webpage with a history, for members who don't know your work?

It's great to have you on the site (assuming this is the REAL hexstatic of course ;-) ) - I for one would love to hear about some of the techniques you have used in your pieces / shows.

Dan.

I'll let them introduce themselves, but Hexstatic are total pioneers, and it's really great to see them popping up here. Welcome to you...

Greetings and welcome :)

Wow red & green glasses - Ive been meaning to try that (I think theres an option to do it in realtime in visualjockey but I might be getting confused). Anyone know where I can source some glasses too?

Can I enquire in what way you are using it - to make different layers of the visuals appear to have depth between them, or is there even more that can be done with this technology?

Ive long been a wondering what youve been up to since the days of Timber but I guess rather than wasting your time I should check yer website eh :D

Hello, the real Hexstatic here...

It seems someone is trying to emulate us and lead you into a false sense of immaturity. we are flattered by your comments and specially flattered by our Impersonator.(probably this '*****' you mention)
He made two vital mistakes...
1. We would never be so bold as to enter a forum offering advice from a higher place.

2.We would never sign off as 'Hex'.
Hexstatic was formed while i working Vjing and doing AV with Hex Media a company(run by coldcut and robert pepperell) that is now defunkt.
Hexstatic are an offshoot from hex and we try not be known as Hex.

So yeah were doing a launch of our new solid steel mix cd on 30th jan at cargo.
with some 3D experiments

cheers

Thanks for the clarification hexstatic.

I've heard good things about your new mix - good luck with the launch. I'm sure a lot of people here are going to be interested in the 3D stuff you are doing - there has been a bit of dicussion on 3D ideas previously.

Is the launch a public event?

As for whoever it was that tried to impersonate hexstatic, bear in mind that deliberate impersonation is against the VJF Terms of Service and will not be tolerated.

Good to hear from Hexstatic though anyway. Look forward to your new release :)

*Sprinkels around some forgivefullness and mindwipe*

Is a further inquisition really helping the community?
Some posts seem just a lust for sensation and intrige.

Yeah, Bluelive I was thinking the same. I'm going to close this thread, cos it can't really get us anywhere.

Anyway, it was nice to see you here Hexstatic and hope to hear more from you in the future
