Hi Guys.
I was wondering if any of you had done many Japanese theme visuals at all?
I have started making some up with the Usual Bullet Train , Mt Fuji sort of things.
Do any of you have any other ideas which come to mind that would be ideal?
Im not looking for kung fu or owt like that, just nice little ideas that are asthetically pleasing to run with this guys music.http://www.myspace.com/modulelikesbeats
If any of you have nice designs for Cherry blossoms or anything along the lines of that let me know as I would be interested too ;)
Thanks guys.
P.S. Some new loops of mine are available at

Are you in Japan?
I've done tons of stuff: timelapse of the Tokyo skyline, the Yamanote line train loop, crowds at night, neon signs in closeup, kimono and yukata textile patterns, etc.

I am using lotsa footage I shot on the streets of Tokyo.(some screenshots)
The best shot that I took, is from the starbuGz coffeebar with view on that famous crossing... (Lost in translation).
Alltough the guy in the bar didnt want me filming,
I managed to shot quite some whilst having a cappuchino.
(last pic).
(my video's are very slowmotion, BTW).
Still want to edit chunks of this material into someting short&groovy.
@gpvillamil >would luv to see some of yur timelapse stuff..:-)

I think they have a guy there who watches out for people filming. He follows everyone who comes in with a video camera. He tapped me on the shoulder the moment I lifted it up to my eye.

is it purely japanese you are looking for - or more aisan ideas. I'm curretly in China at the mo, so can suggest a few asian things - temples, neon signs, waterbuffalo etc...

A canon XM1 / 3ccd.
But I also did some treatment with it in AE, which for examples creates the shutter-blur effect in combination with the out of focus.
Actually eirenah is allready cutting some up atm. Allthough I like the music from that band, and also like the idea that soemone else makes something with it too.
Let me get back to ya on this one, ok?

so, did we forget to mention manga and hentai?
and what about Kanji.

No I hadnt forgotten about those, but I dont really wanna use Manga as it dont really suit the tone. Its more of an electronic live gig than a club night.
I did look into some stuff but I dont want people to point and "ah look Manga" I want to give them something they may not of seen before.
But sayiin gthat I would certainly hit it up in a club though.
Thanks for the suggeston.
