In Uganda, people who translate Western films to the local language live are called vj's:

Thanks for sharing :) It's very strange that even though they are called VJs, they don't do any video work ! (and it still makes sense imho opinion that they are called that since they are actually playing creatively with the meaning of the film/video)

like us they also "re-tell" a movie/story.. they'r getting more popular, use of technology, ..
i like more this "vj's" than "mtv-vj's"!
