Hyperion, get Flip4Mac for your Apple computer. It lets you watch WMV files in Quicktime.

That still doesn't make me like the WMV format at all, I find it horrible.


OK, onto the videoes:
First off I SUPPOSE this is promo for the club "bloc" ( ?? am I right?)
First video has lots of effects. I am one who dislikes most effects unless sparingly and well used. The zoomin-out transition thing is awful, the mosaic should go away and so should the invert effect, unless it lasts for only ONE frame (lasts for more there, surely)

Second video, I like. It shows more of the stuff that I think you want to show without any nasty effects. It has a few, which could be eliminated, but in all, it's much better and doesn't look as cheesy as the effect-ridden first video.

Something important: is this a TRANCE club? If not, why chose a trance track to promote the club?
Another thing: probably they like to show the brand presence in their club, to show to prominent sponsors. Footage of branding located in the club could be useful, even if shown for a few frames.

WMV9 is a really awesome codec and slightly better then H264...
But for broadest audience, indeo i.e flash8 video.

yeah i dont understand what is wrong with WMV9 - other than that is it by microsoft and probably not a particularly open standard.

however i severly doubt that it is better or even close to H264 -i will do some test though to satisfy my curiosity.
