Hi all, just a quick thread re: the a/v side of the magazine,

I'm speaking to some people about getting music from them, but anyone on the board who has an inside track to record labels or knows people producing good music then it would be nice if you could let them know about us. ;)

My opinion is that the simplest thing initially is to get a few tracks from each artist and send them to someone on vjf to put visuals to. We can also think about reversing this at some point and having a musician put music to some precreated visuals or we can have pieces done as a collaboration.

What are your thoughts?

littleD will finally start this year( sloooowly like I like it) would love to give videoclips with the tracks under it when finished. (yes promo free , so tell me you love me : steal my stuff...just thinking: jeez the copyright threads are seeping in everything, my apologies)

it's a small project which enables some of the prime crew to play with audio and luck would have to get some 12"s out and other ideas.

sucky thing is: everything is still in that startup phase(sloooowly like I like it) :( give me a pm when necessary and I'll help out.

a busy man lately (so many ideas, so little time )
peace,

Strange request.

There's tons of music out there. Fins something you like, contact the artist and ask. Some are harder to reach than others. But the more you make a name for yourself, the easier it is to get a response.

If there's audio artists here looking for exposure, that's one thing. But don't discount opportunities to work with the full range of musical artistry. It's an essential step to develop your professional skills.

Cross promotions are natural. Take advantage of their market opportunities. You might even develop long-term friendships with artists you respect.

No fear.

Hey Oz,

Yeh, that's what I'm doing now. It's just a question of time, and if some people on here know producers, then it makes thinks simpler for me.

After we done some issues then I reckon we start sending off to labels for crosspromotion, but I don't know what the reception will be like without some stuff behind us, and it coming completely cold. It's also a question of knowing who to send the stuff to. I'm in the process of drafting press release stuff to go with it, and will contact labels at that point.

Hama & vjpixlight, we will be listening to your tunes soon, but really I would be happy if you have ones you would like used and want to make the choice for you to make that choice.
Primebase - I would like at have some a/v collaboration stuff on this so when it is ready let me know (if not in time for the 1st one, then later...)

TK - I'm starting to gather music now to send out to VJs for them to put stuff to. If he's got two or three tunes he would like to let us use then get him to email them to me (tom@syzygy-visuals.co.uk)
