looks like google have recompressed it (badly) for you.
archive.org remains the only free hosting i'm awair of that gives you unlimmited space and doesn't recompress stuff.

I'll give archive.org a go then! Thanks Tom..
I knew it would take a hit, but was curious about the
video ipod/psp feeds and how they would come out..
cheers

Oh and by the way (offtopic) - I thought of you the other day when a UK astronomy programme was talking tech about some big telescope, it had a mirror that was made of lot of large shiney hexagon-shaped pieces :)

:)
<<still off topic>>
apparently the eye of a honey bee is made up of 1000's of hexagons as well.
I guess that honey bees also are able to distiquish between diferent human faces, and can remember the same faces days later;)
SOO, it's not much of a stretch to equate nano-camera's, genetically implanted into honey bee brains to collect data. I'm surprised that info even got out of Cambridge.
<<ok back on topic>>
There is a HDV mp4 QT of the retreat here.. (http://www.avitna.org/2005/HDV-web/Avit%20retreat1-hdv-720p.mp4)
The problem with the h264 mp4 is that it needs QT7, and a fast computer.
My Sager couldn't even play it properly(in QT that is...kept maxing the buffer). I did get VLC player to play it @full frame rate doing the 1280x720, (720p)which did look good(much better than the google encoded vid.
I am not sure what google uses to encode their vids @, but it must be proprietry, cause you need to have their player...
Anyhow almost have the same 720p edit uploaded to archive.org
I'll post the link when it is up:)
I guess my mate Doug is getting one of these (http://news.softpedia.com/news/Canon-Introduces-Its-First-HD-Video-Camera-8557.shtml) in the next couple months(hes preordered it) so hopefully we'll be shooting the next AVit Retreat in tru HD;)
