Could be the format its expecting maybe? eg... rich-text or html enabled email? check your preferences and see if you can toggle any interpreting of these incoming emails, could be the email itself of course. Forms / emails generated from dynamic websites (script driven) can sometimes have incomplete header information or slightly non-standard formatting due to oversights or bugs in code. I don't use either program, but there are a few ideas anyway.

Which version of outlook? Got any spam filters built into it & enabled?

There were various 'never get email' problems reported in the past, never found out what was causing it. vjforums is on another temporary server so I dunno if this has made any difference, along with changed version of vbulletin.

Would like to understand your problem with outlook better in case it is caused by a major bug or something.

Forum is probably currently setup so that emails from the forum say they are from my personal email address, steve @ nospammyspam dvmachine.com
This is just temporary.

yeah the user activation emails come from steveAT[spamyouuplikeakipper]dvmachineDOTcom but they say VJForums as the name (i turned this back on coz the image verification isn't working for some reason?)

outlook is stupid / wierd - often - use thunderbird and the RSS reader instead!
