hello all:

my band is based in new york city. we generally write songs or soundscapes that have been called "cinematic," so it seems appropriate to work with someone doing visuals. lately we've also been improvising as a duo and playing shows of electronic improv. our music ranges from quiet and folky to industrial noise and several points in between.

we have a few opportunities for shows coming up next year. some will be small improv events, where we may have the opportunity to use a live VJ. for this sort of thing we tend to like somewhat abstract work (local video artists berkoy or giles hendrix come to mind).

there's also a possibility of us doing a larger show, for which we'd like something more special. perhaps playing a live soundtrack to some kind of film, or at least something more like a semi-narrative visual piece we play live to rather than a straight video/audio jam.

for an idea of the kind of music we might be doing at these shows, check out our experimental music page at myspace:

filmmakers seeking soundtrack music: clips of some of our more soundtrack-like studio work under another name can be heard here:

feel free to forward this message to any video artists you know of who may be appropriate. thank you.
