Is there a way to calculate the size (Mb/Gb) of a movie. If I have a movie that is x & y dimensions, with a time of z, with a selcted codec can I work out the Mb?

with codecs like dv you can or mpeg2 with cbr but most other codecs have variable bitrate, so you might be able to calculate a maximum. i think this is typically something you can find out yourself with some testing....have you tried?
