Just happened upon revver (http://www.revver.com)

According to what the site says (haven't tried the upload side of it out yet), they will host video for free and even pay the video uploaded every time their video is viewed.

When a video is uploaded, they attach a 1 frame advert to the end of the clip so that it is displayed when the clip finishes.

The site also says they will pay money to affilates who link to clips on their site.

Seems like this could be an interesting way to get VJ clips out...

edited to say: just reread their stuff and they only pay the video uploader when the ad is clicked, not when the video is viewed...

The concept is nice (feels like flickr for video).

But the image quality sucks bigtime on all movies I've seen. Totally useless in my opinion. And this ugly button bar at the bottom. Urgh ...

here's a video upload site (http://www.dailymotion.com) with quite an active VJ section... [no add or payment]

I wouldnt touch them with a bargepole, as their terms & conditions state that your content can be exploited by them for advertising, and that you waive all moral rights (droit moral) associated with the work.

Id use something like ourmedia or blip.tv instead.

any opinions on myspace.com?
I know a few folk who rate this site, but they are all on non-profit label Litmus (www.litmus.org)...
